We have a mold design team with more than 12 years of rich experience, to undertake mold development and design, from product design and manufacturing feasibility assessment analysis, assembly feasibility analysis, injection molding analysis (mold flow analysis), to the final mold mechanism action analysis and mold structure strength analysis, so that previously difficult to detect problems can be prevented in advance. And then shorten the mold development cycle and reduce the unnecessary long time test cost. Moreover, we are demand-oriented, starting from DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), DFM (Design for Manufacturability) evaluation, using mold flow analysis, FEA and other tools to analyze filling pressure, molecular alignment, cooling, deformation, shrinkage and other problems, optimize gate location, cooling system layout, etc., to provide customers with reliable technology and successful experience. In addition, the professional design of the mold structure, the reasonable selection of the mold material, the precision control of the mold manufacturing, the accurate grasp of the mold schedule, etc., are the key processes for the success of the mold manufacturing. According to the product model and design intention, establish the relevant 3D model of the mold:
Our mold designers will carry out the feasibility analysis of the designed mold products. For example, what kind of mold structure is used, and arrange the process of the product, determine the punching content of each process (After the content of each process is determined, including in the forming die, the internal and external thickness of the product material is retained to determine the size of the concave and convex die), and use the design software to expand the product. HingTung attaches great importance to this step, and will require designers to be very careful. Because this step is done well, it will save a lot of time in drawing the mold. Take the computer case as an example, our designers will use the design software to make a configuration analysis of the product drawings of each component, to ensure the correctness of the product drawings before the mold design. On the other hand, we can be familiar with the importance of each component in the whole case to determine the key size.
Prepare mold materials according to product expansion diagram:
We will determine the size of the mold plate according to the product expansion diagram, including each fixed plate, discharge plate, convex and concave die, insert etc., and directly draw the mold plate size on the diagram, in the form of group drawing. These actions on the one hand can complete the mold material preparation, on the other hand can save a lot of work in the drawing of mold components, since we only need to add positioning, pins, guide posts, screw holes in the mold material preparation drawings.
Convert the 3D product and mold models into 2D engineering drawings:
After the mold material preparation is completed, our mold designers will fully enter the mold drawing session, as well as the drawing of each mold component, for example, add screw holes, guide post holes, positioning holes and other holes, as well as wire cutting holes in the punching die, determine the forming gap of the upper and lower die in the forming die. After all this work is completed, we have finished 80% of the product mold drawing. We subdivide the remaining 20% of the design work into various processes, such as fitter marking, wire cutting and other processing processes have complete drawing layers, which has great benefits for wire cutting and drawing management, such as color differentiation. Size marking is also a very important work, we want to ensure the perfect mold design, and manage every detail size at the same time, to achieve the highest accuracy of mold design requirements. Before the drawing is issued, we will proofread the mold drawing, check the assembly of all the mold components, and make different layers for each different mold plate, the mold alignment analysis is carried out with the same datum, such as the guide post hole, and put the product expansion diagram of each process into the alignment diagram to ensure that the holes of each mold plate are consistent and whether the clearance of upper and lower die at the bending position matches correctly.
